The Full Story

The journey began over 40 years ago, when my grandmother handed me a warm cup of chamomile–mint tea for a stomach ache. Not Tums, not Pepto—just tea. I remember thinking it was unusual, but I drank it anyway… and almost instantly felt better. The comfort of that warm cup stayed with me, and soon I was asking for chamomile even when nothing hurt at all.

Ten years later, as a biology major on the pre-med track, I learned that more than half of modern pharmaceuticals originate from plants. That single fact lit a spark in me. I fell in love with the intelligence of plants—their chemistry, their history, and their quiet, steady ability to support the body. My path eventually shifted away from traditional medicine, but my devotion to herbalism never faded.

Over the years, I’ve learned that plants, whole foods, and regular movement work together to help the body return to balance. And in balance, the body can do extraordinary things—sometimes with pharmaceuticals, sometimes without, and often with less strain or side effects. I also came to understand how many people don’t realize that much of what they eat isn’t truly food, and how deeply our bodies struggle to process what they were never designed for.

Today, I’m not a doctor—but I am an Integrative Health Practitioner, a Board Certified Master Herbalist, and a licensed member of the Guardian Ecclesiastical Holistic Association. I’m also on my way to becoming a Board Certified Natural Health Practitioner later this year. Every day, I have the privilege of supporting people on their path to better health, and I truly love the work.

Mission

This project exists to educate, empower, and support anyone seeking a more balanced approach to wellness—whether they rely on pharmaceuticals, prefer natural options, or fall somewhere in between.

We meet clients exactly where they are, honoring every part of their journey.

Our goal is to help clients better understand how factors like ultra-processed foods, additives, environmental stressors, and daily habits can impact the body—and to guide them toward nourishing choices that support their overall health.

Our mission is to help the body find balance. When supported through lifestyle, nutrition, and herbal wellness, the body often functions with more ease—whether pharmaceuticals are part of the picture or not.

No matter your starting point or your current health needs, we’re here to help you feel better, build confidence in your wellness choices, and live a fuller, more vibrant life.

Statement of Purpose

At Renova Wellness Consulting, our work begins with a simple truth: God is the source of all healing, wisdom, and renewal. We believe the body is a gift entrusted to us, and caring for it is an act of stewardship. Every service we offer—every conversation, every recommendation, every cup of herbal support—is shaped by that understanding.

Our approach is intentionally and wholeheartedly biblical. We seek guidance from Scripture, we pray for discernment, and we aim to serve in a way that honors Christ in both word and practice. While we respect that wellness can be approached in many ways, we do not incorporate, endorse, or align with New Age philosophies, energy-based modalities, or any practices that conflict with a Christ-centered worldview.

At the same time, we warmly welcome clients from all backgrounds and beliefs. We do not differentiate, exclude, or treat anyone differently based on whether they share our faith. Every individual deserves compassionate care, dignity, and respect—and we commit to offering that with sincerity and integrity.

Instead of drawing from New Age philosophies, we lean into the wisdom God has already woven into creation. We use the tools He has provided—plants, lifestyle habits, rest, nourishment, community, prayer, and education—to support the body’s God-designed ability to heal and thrive. Our intention is to create a space where clients feel safe, grounded, and spiritually aligned, knowing their wellness journey is guided by biblical principles and genuine care.

Above all, our purpose is to serve with humility, compassion, and a heart for restoration—offering practical support and hope while pointing back to the One who ultimately renews and restores.
